Natalie Calia

Musical Director

Natalie is a creative artist, educator, performer and multi-instrumentalist; holding various degrees in Performing Arts and Education, including a Master of Applied Theatre Studies, and has previously held various roles across a range of educational institutions and organisation across the country. Natalie completed a 7-month tour of Austria and Germany with Stage Entertainment as Assistant Musical Director/Deputy Conductor with the production of ’Ich was noch niemals in New York’. She has also performed in, directed, musically directed and been a band member for over 70 productions with various theatre companies around Melbourne (awarded Musical Theatre Guild Awards for Musical Director of Anything Goes (2015) and SHREK (2020)), and has previously performed with The Blues Brothers Rhythm and Blues Revue, and online with ‘Jam ‘Tin’; raising funds for many Australian charities. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ marks Natalie’s sixth show with Melbourne Shakespeare Company since joining in 2021.
